Thank you to everyone who joined us for our recent virtual conversation in our DEI series.
“Leading with Equity in Uncertain Times.” This event brought together IG, RIM, Records Management professionals, Community Leaders, and Advocates for a thoughtful discussion about how we continue advancing diversity, equity and inclusion while navigating today’s complex social and organizational challenges.
Ciera Parks shared valuable insights on sustaining equity-focused leadership even during periods of uncertainty. The discussion emphasized the importance of how equity shows up in everyday leadership behaviors. The discussion talked about how trust is built (or eroded), why this matters now, and the importance of staying grounded in organizational values, building inclusive cultures, and ensuring that equity remains a priority in the decision-making process.

Topic: Leading With Equity in Uncertain Times
We're in a time of national uncertainty, with shifting narratives around diversity, equity, and inclusion. This session is designed for employees and leaders at all levels and focuses on how equity (OR inclusiveness) continues to show up, regardless of changing language, through everyday leadership behaviors, decision-making, and organizational systems.
The session also examines the connection between equity and Information Governance and Records Information Management, highlighting how consistent documentation, clear processes, and ethical stewardship of information help protect both people and organizations.
Through practical examples and reflective discussion, attendees will gain tools to support colleagues from historically marginalized groups, foster psychological safety, and contribute to a workplace culture rooted in fairness, accountability, and hope.
